We recycle asphalt shingles from consumers and manufacturers into various road based applications. When and why did you start the biz? I began the venture after a hurricane drew my attention to all of the roof shingles being taken to the landfills in 2008. I began researching ways to recycle the shingles into an environmentally useful application. How Many People are in your Company? 1 for now Where's your office? I currently work from home with the plans of opening an office location. What's the toughest part of running your biz? The toughest part of running my business is finding funding and doing all of the work myself. What's the most fun part? The most fun part is knowing that you are not only helping many entities but as well as the environment. What's next on the horizon for your biz? I plan to expand my business to all the major markets in the State of Texas and expanding my green technology products and services What advice do you have for others? My advice would be to prepare to spend alot of time researching and planning your business. Especially in finding ways to fund and start you business as there are very few places to go to get start up capital and grants. School (where, still in school, degree)?
