What does your business do?
House Mouse Cleaning is a small cleaning company who believes that every clients clean is there own clean, not that of the companies. We clean to the clients specifications. And we do it as quietly as a mouse!
When and why did you start the biz?
I originally started my business back in 2000, but, due to a health problem had to close for a short time.
Before I had started House Mouse Cleaning <:3 )~, I had worked for a company who did not care about the clientele. I knew I could do better than that, and I have!
How Many People are in your Company?
1--me!
Where's your office?
Half of my bedroom. So I can roll out of bed and get right to work!
What's the toughest part of running your biz?
Everything that needs to be done! The paper work, the billing, the meeting of clients, doing scheduling. The cleaning is the easy part really! In these tough economic times, shopping for cleaners and supplies is time consuming.
What's the most fun part?
I love my clients. Especially my elderly clients.
Anything you would have done differently?
OH YEAH!!! Would of went to bank and got a loan to start business up instead of trying to do it out of my pocket!
What's next on the horizon for your biz?
Expansion! Not a big boom, just some small steps. Offering more cleaning things like rug cleaning with better rug machines, offering offices more services.
What advice do you have for others?
Do not be in this for the money, be in it for the clients. They are not account numbers, they are people. Treat them respectfully, and they will take care of you. Word of mouth is the best kind of advertising. ALWAYS!
How do you use Idea Cafe to help your biz?
Shoot! okay, hmmmm,....geeze, ....world peace, no, wait, that will only work for Miss America!
I am not one to steal ideas, but, I do love to use others inspirations and mold it into my own, so it becomes my own. And the person who helped will get the credit. So, inspirational ideas is how I will be using Idea Cafe.

CNA for nearly 15 years, cleaned for another small company that cleaned for 2 years, then ventured on my own

caramelly chocolate stuff. This should top even pasta
What are your pets' names?
Brutus, Gabriel, Pudgy
Do any of these pets help with your biz?
No. But, Gabby would like to. Around my house, she is the supervisor puppy dog. Always right there wanting to know what your doing and making sure you do it right. Hard to do with her nose in the way.
Is there any one person or event in your life that led
you to go into business for yourself?
Myself. I believe in myself, as everyone should.
