What does your business do?
We live in the beautiful port city of Wilmington, North Carolina. Our shoots are done on location. We use our beautiful historical downtown settings, our awesome beaches, gardens and parks...or even your back yard.
Each and every photograph I take is special to me. I approach every opportunity that comes my way with a certain sense of style and grace. I'm inspired by each and every client I meet and am proud to help capture that special moment. From engagements to wedding, to newborns and families, my portraits will forever remind you of those special moments.
When and why did you start the biz?
I've been doing photography for around 10 years, but have never had the means to upgrade my equipment. I love, love, love to photograph people...all ages. I want to be able to give them the quality pics they deserve and pay for. I just need help! I know WHAT to do, I just don't have the means to make it better!

Where's your office?
My home. I also shoot on location...beach, historical places, mountains...wherever people want me to go.
What's the toughest part of running your biz?
Marketing myself. I don't have the money it takes to make money.
What's the most fun part?
Getting crazy with clients..especially brides. I love unusual shots and the crazier the client, the better the shot!.
Anything you would have done differently?
SAVED!SAVED!SAVED!
What's next on the horizon for your biz?
Fresh, new clients. Fresh new equipment, ideas...ect....
What advice do you have for others?
Save all your extra money if you want to succeed...it's gonna take it to make money. Don't be an idiot...stay home and cook instead of going out to eat...save your money! You will make more if you do.
How do you use Idea Cafe to help your biz?
I search everything you have on the site. My husband and I have no more sanity, so I think helping us there is out! We love having the site to explore new options. Now, if we can get you to invest in us, we'll be on our way! (and, I love your name!)
School (where, still in school, degree)?
High school, some college. I'm more of a hands on!! haha No really...
Prior jobs or business?
I have worked for myself in childcare,which is where I got started in photography. I now work in a hospital taking newborn portraits most every day of my life. I have taught in private school and in K-4 classes. I love children and photography.
Favorite Food?
A large.
What are your pets' names?
Gilbert...want him? He's a peek-a-poo...stubborn!
Do any of these pets help with your biz?
I photographed him just last week and made sweet portraits of him. He even smiled.
Is there any one person or event in your life that led
you to go into business for yourself?
My husband inspires me in every way. He encourages me to go for whatever opportunity comes my way. He would move heaven and earth to help me. He works with me. He lets me know that I can do anything because he has faith in me. Think I'll hang on to him another 27 years!

I'd like to thank all the little people...wait, that's me! Thanks to God for everything he's given me to be able to pursue my dream of photography.
